Dawn M. Florio is the founding and managing partner at Dawn M. Florio Law Firm PLLC. An attorney for over 30 years, she has been practicing in federal and state courts in New York and New Jersey. Dawn is also known as the “Pretty Pitbull Attorney". Her work ethics encompasses honesty, compassion, tenacity, ferocity and integrity. Building cases in the courtroom as well as building a foundation of trust with each of her clients, Dawn believes it's important to care about the people she represents. A force to be reckoned with, Dawn Florio is not your average criminal defense attorney. She tackles complex criminal investigations such as murder, conspiracy, RICCO violations, narcotics offenses and white-collar crimes. Dawn vigorously defends her clients while upholding the constitution. She primarily specializes in criminal defense and has expanded her practice to include Entertainment and Sports Law.

Ms. Florio attended Boston University where she majored in Biology and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in 1984. She founded the Boston University Racquetball Team and was ranked individually 10th in the nation.

While in Law School, Dawn was the President of The Entertainment and Sports Law Society. She held internships at the Manhattan & Nassau County's District Attorney’s Office, The Legal Aid Society of Manhattan and clerked for state and federal judges. She also participated in Moot Court competitions.

Before opening her own law firm, Dawn worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx for 12 years. She was a senior trial attorney where she prosecuted dozens of murder cases and some of the most high-profile cases in the county. She was the Director of the Elder Abuse Unit as well as the Editor of the Senior Citizens Handbook for the New York State Bar Association. 

Dawn has also been the President of the Columbian Lawyers Association, Vice President of Judges and Lawyers Breast Cancer Awareness Bar Association and sat on the Board of Directors of the Bronx Women’s Bar Association. Ms. Florio is currently an active member of the Bronx Bar Association, The New York Criminal Bar Association, The New York County Lawyers Association, The New York State Bar Association, The Federal Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Dawn serves on the board of Survive To Thrive Global Inc., which is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a support system for survivors of domestic violence and to change laws that prevent survivors from living without fear of retribution from their abusers.

Declan J. Murray is a tireless, passionate advocate who never goes down without a fight and takes each case as seriously as his clients do. Declan received his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law, graduating Cum Laude and with Honors in the Criminal Law and Advocacy concentration. While at Quinnipiac he was the Articles and Opinions Editor for the Quinnipiac Probate Law Journal, one of only four probate law journals in the country and where he is also published. He received the Cornelius W. Wickersham Jr. Award from the Federal Bar Counsel and was awarded for high academic achievement in Constitutional Law, Evidence, and Trial Practice Procedure.
